Obituary
Shirley V. Romig, age 93, homemaker and lifelong Wellington resident, passed away at Sumner Regional Medical Center on Sunday, March 22, 2009.
Shirley V. Romig was born on March 22, 1916 in Wellington, KS to William A. Bowman and Coral L. (Rowe) Bowman. She attended Wellington schools and graduated with the Wellington High School Class of 1935.
Shirley V. Romig married Robert U. Romig on April 3, 1938 in Pond Creek, OK. He preceded her in death in 1994.
Shirley enjoyed spending time with her family, gardening and especially loved cats and dogs.
She is preceded in death by her parents; husband, Robert; and two brothers, Bert Bowman and Bill Bowman.
She is survived by her sister, Ila M. Mitchell and sister-in-law, Hazel Bowman both of Wellington, KS; four nephews, Gary Bowman, Larry Bowman, Howard Bowman and Bill Bowman; and several great nieces and nephews.
Graveside services will be held at Prairie Lawn Cemetery on Wednesday, March 25, 2009 at 2:00 P.M. Chaplain Dan Floyd will officiate.
Visitation will be held at the funeral home on Tuesday, March 24, 2009 from 9:00 – 9:00 P.M.
