Tammy S. Rayl, age 52, loving wife, mother and grandmother, passed away Tuesday, June 12, 2012. She was a homemaker and lifelong Wellington, KS resident.
Tammy Suzette (Russell) Rayl was born on May 19, 1960 in Wellington, KS to Cecil S. "Rusty" Russell and Betty J. (Fountas) Russell. She was raised in Wellington and graduated from Wellington High School with the Class of 1978.
Tammy married Michael C. Rayl on July 17, 1979.
She loved spending time with her grandson whom she adored and spending time with family and friends. She also enjoyed reading, gardening, and cooking for her family and close friends.
She was preceded in death by her parents; one brother, David Russell; two step daughters, Stormie Rayl-Zimmerman and Mistie Rayl; and nephews, Chris and Patrick Irvine.
Survivors include her loving husband, Mike of Wellington, KS; one daughter, Crystal Niblack and her husband Jeremy of Wellington, KS; one grandson, Blake Niblack of Wellington, KS; four brothers, Glenn Russell and his wife Gaye, Dean Russell and his wife Susan, Jeff Russell and his wife Peggy, and Bob Russell and his wife Dana, all of Wellington, KS; three sisters, Margaret Prewitt and her husband Bob of Garden City, KS, Colleen Norris and her husband Jim of Wellington, KS and June Jones and her husband John of Silver City, New Mexico; 13 nieces and nephews; and 25 great nieces and great nephews.
Memorial Services will be held at the First Christian Church on Saturday, June 16, 2012 at 11:00 A.M. Pastor Don Bryant and Pastor Joe Crowley will officiate.
Visitation will be held at the funeral home on Friday, June 15, 2012 from 1:00 – 8:00 P.M. There will be no viewing as cremation has taken place.
A memorial has been established in her name with the "Blake Niblack Education Fund." Contributions can be left at the funeral home.
