Tammy J. Stewart, age 59, passed away at her home in Mayfield, KS on December 21, 2017 after a two year battle with cancer.
Tammy J. (Moyer) Stewart was born on January 20, 1958 in Wellington, KS to Thomas R. Moyer and Jeanette E. (Brown) Moyer. She was raised in Wellington and was a graduate of Wellington High School with the class of 1976.
Tammy married James F. Stewart on October 22, 1988 at the First Christian Church in Wellington.
Tammy had a love of animals and had a special skill with horses. She was a committee member of the Blue Grass Festival in Winfield and was an active member of the Chisholm Trail Cowboy Church. She was very musical inclined and could pick up almost any instrument and play it. She enjoyed playing flute with the Winfield Symphony Orchestra. She thoroughly enjoyed visiting with family and friends.
She is preceded in death by her parents.
Survivors include her husband James Stewart of Mayfield; two brothers, Gary Moyer and his wife Kathy of Dayton, OH and Dennis Moyer and his wife Becky of Sedalia, MO; nephews, Lance, Johnathan, Jeremy, Cole, and Gradon; and nieces, Kelly, Grace, Amy, Noni, and Margaret; and a host of friends.
In accordance with Tammy's wishes, cremation has taken place. There will be no visitation. No funeral services are scheduled.
A memorial has been established with the Wellington Humane Society. Contributions can be left at or mailed to the funeral home.
