Teresa C. Flook, 73, formerly of Wellington, KS, passed away June 12, 2012 after a short illness.
Teresa was born December 14, 1938 in Wellington, KS to the late Carlos Jimenez and Maria de Jesus Martinez Jimenez. She was a 1957 graduate of Wellington High School.
Teresa became a beautician and lived for nearly 50 years in Liberty and Kansas City, MO. Teresa will be well remembered as a woman who was passionate about relationships to her sisters, brothers, cousins and extended family. She was a gifted listener whose heart was rewarded with many lifelong friends in Kansas and Missouri. She was a collector of music and loved the theatre. In her life she avidly attended William Jewell College Fine Arts Events, Mariachi Festivals, and was a Patron to the Corbin Theatre of Liberty, MO. Teresa loved experiencing the little things in life. She was an energetic dancer, gardener, and a prolific reader of historical romance novels.
Teresa is survived by her three sons, Edric Flook of Hamilton, MO; Timothy J. Flook and his wife Elizabeth Serpa-Flook of Liberty, MO; and Chuck Flook and his wife Rebecca Smalley-Flook of Bentonville, AR; Teresa is also survived by nine grandchildren, Jessica, Ashley, Brooke, Sarah, Breah, Weston, Henry, Cassie and Taylor. She is further survived by her siblings Cevero Jimenez, Stephen and Helen Jimenez, Maria Jimenez Bansemer, Anita Jimenez Avila, Juanita Jimenez Mistler, Ramona Jimenez Gonzalez, Tomas Jimenez, and Carmen Jimenez Lindsey.
Graveside Services will be held at 10:30 A.M., on Saturday, June 23, 2012, at Prairie Lawn Cemetery in Wellington, KS.
