Terry Lee Edwin Nail, age 73, of Haysville, KS, formerly of Wellington, KS, passed away Sunday evening, October 28, 2012 at Presbyterian Hospital of Denton in Denton, TX. He retired as an electrical technician for Hawker Beechcraft after 25 years of employment.

Terry Lee Nail was born on November 28, 1938 in Chicago, Ill to Glenn C. Nail and Elsie Jane (Hill) Nail. He attended Wellington High School with the Class of 1957. He served eight years in the United States Navy aboard an aircraft carrier during the Vietnam War.

He married Alveria "Vera" Weber on June 21, 1992.

He was preceded in death by his parents.

Survivors include his loving wife, Vera of Haysville, KS; one son, Gary Nail of Wichita, KS; three daughters, Mandy Debano (Smith) of El Dorado, KS, Debbi Castaneda of Lubbock, TX, and Ami (Nail) Yonts of Wellington, KS; two stepsons, Mark & Kevin Permenter of Wichita, KS; one stepdaughter, Renee Grow of Wichita, KS; one brother, Dennis Nail and his wife Barbara of Wellington, KS; one sister, Glenda Nail of Wichita, KS; and 16 grandchildren.

Rosary will be held at St. Cecilia Catholic Church in Haysville, KS on Friday, November 2, 2012 at 7:00 P.M.

Mass of Christian Burial will be held on Saturday, November 3, 2012 at 10:00 A.M. at St. Cecilia Catholic Church. Father Thomas Wai will officiate. Interment will follow the service at Sumner Memorial Gardens in Wellington, KS.

Visitation will be held at the funeral home on Friday, November 2, 2012 from 10:00 A.M. – 5:00 P.M.

A memorial has been established with the American Cancer Society in lieu of flowers. Contributions can be left at or mailed to Frank Funeral Home, 417 N. Washington Ave., Wellington, KS 67152.
