Obituary
Walter James Johnson, age 87, passed away January 23, 2016 at the Kansas Veterans Home in Winfield, KS.
Walter James Johnson was born on October 26, 1928 in Wellington, KS to Daniel James Johnson and Susie Ellen (Ballard) Johnson.
Walter was raised in Wellington and graduated from Wellington High School. He spent 26 years in the United States Army. He resided in Germany for 45 years before moving back to our area this past fall.
He was preceded in death by his parents and three brothers and sisters.
Survivors include one sister, Delores Smith of Wellington; and several nieces and nephews.
Military Graveside Services will be held at Prairie Lawn Cemetery at 2:00 P.M. on Thursday, January 28, 2016. Military honors will be provided by the United Army of Ft. Riley, KS.
Visitation will be held at the funeral home on Thursday, January 28, 2016 from 11:00 A.M. to 1:00 P.M.
Frank Funeral Home has been entrusted with the arrangements.
