Wanda G. Dickson, age 77, loving wife, mother, and grandmother passed away Tuesday evening, August 15, 2006 at Sumner Regional Medical Center in Wellington, KS. Wanda was raised in Conway Springs, KS and had been a Wellington resident for the last 58 years. She had worked as a Medicare Insurance Clerk at the Wellington Hospital for 21 ½ years.

Wanda G. Dickson was born on March 25, 1929 in Coldwater, KS to Frank Albert Kimple, Jr. and Edna Winifred (Harrison) Kimple.

On March 17, 1950 Wanda married Robert E. Dickson at the Methodist Church Parsonage in Wellington, KS. They had recently celebrated 56 years of marriage.

Wanda was a member of the First United Methodist Church, Eastern Star, Wellington Art Association, and the J.O.C. Quilters. She enjoyed music and playing the piano.

She is preceded in death by her parents and two sisters-in-law.

Survivors include her husband Robert E. Dickson of Wellington, KS; one son Jerry Dickson of Wichita, KS; one daughter Michelle Loomer and her husband Mike of Fergus Falls, MN; three brothers Donald Kimple and Stanley Kimple of Wichita, KS and Eldon Kimple of Grand Lake, OK; three grandchildren Crystal Caviler and her husband Tyson, Melissa Loomer and Eric Loomer; and one great grandchild Makiya Caviler.

Funeral Services will be held on Saturday, August 19, 2006 at 11:00 A.M. at the First United Methodist Church. Reverend Brent Clayton will officiate. Burial will follow the service at Prairie Lawn Cemetery.

Visitation will be held at the funeral home on Friday, August 18, 2006 from 10:00 A.M. to 9:00 P.M.

A memorial has been established with the First United Methodist Church in lieu of flowers. Contributions can be left at the funeral home.
