Wanda Louise Harris, age 84, loving wife, mother and grandmother, passed away Monday, December 5, 2016 at Golden Living Center in Wellington, KS.
Wanda Louise (Bursack) Harris was born on August 14, 1932 in Winfield, KS to Earl Bursack and Daisy (Behymer) Bursack. She was a graduate at Oxford High School with the Class of 1950.
Wanda married Wayne L. Harris on August 30, 1952. They were married 62 years before he passed away on August 14, 2014.
She enjoyed spending time with her family and friends. Wanda was a longtime member of Wellington Church of Christ and was active in local women's clubs and Sumner County Extension activities.
She was preceded in death by her parents; and her husband Wayne.
Survivors include four sons, Rex Harris and his wife Jeanne of Geuda Springs, KS, Jeff Harris and his wife Debby of Edmond, OK, Keith Harris of South Haven, KS and Steve Harris and his wife Callie of Knoxville, TN; seven grandchildren, Audra Morris, Ryan Harris, Alexandra Harris, Anna Crane, Kathryn Robinson, Kristin Le Blanc, and Daniel Harris; and 10 great grandchildren.
Funeral Services will be held at the Wellington Church of Christ on Tuesday, December 13, 2016 at 10:30 A.M. Mr. Michael Nelson will officiate. Interment will follow the service at the Forest Hill Cemetery near Ashton, KS.
There will be no visitation at the funeral home. Rex and Jeanne Harris would like to invite family and friends to their home at 1375 E. 100th St. S, Geuda Springs, KS on December 12, 2016 from 6:00 – 8:00 P.M. to visit and share memories.
A memorial has been established with the Church of Christ. Contributions can be left at the funeral home.
