Obituary

Wanda Marie Miller, age 86, passed away Friday evening, August 28, 2009 at the Via Christi St. Francis Hospice Unit in Wichita, KS. Wanda was a homemaker and a recent resident of Wichita moving there from Ottawa, KS.

Wanda Marie (Frazee) Miller was born on February 23, 1923 in Wellington, KS to James L. Frazee and Vina Faye (Walters) Frazee.

On November 15, 1946 she married Charles W. "Dutch" Miller in Wells, Nevada.

During WWII she drove a staff car for the Army Air Force. Through the years she had jobs as a meteorologist aide and a bookkeeper. She was life member of the VFW Auxiliary in Ottawa, KS. Wanda enjoyed crafts and sewing. She was a fan of the Kansas City Chiefs and the KU Jayhawks.

She is preceded in death by her parents; her husband, Dutch; four brothers; and three sisters.

Survivors include her son, Mike Miller of Ottawa, KS and daughter, Michele Stanfield of Wichita, KS; brother, Ted Frazee and his wife Cora of Andover, KS; six grandchildren, Chad Williams, Jodi Crumrine, Mark Miller, Maria Miller, and Jaci Miller; and six great grandchildren.

Memorial Graveside Services will be held on Thursday, September 3, 2009 at 2:00 P.M. at Sumner Memorial Gardens in Wellington. Hospice Chaplain Art Smith will officiate.

There will be no visitation as cremation has taken place.

A memorial has been established with the Wanda Marie Miller Memorial Fund. Contributions can be left at the funeral home.
