Obituary
Zachary Ryan Stover, age 35, passed away Thursday, March 31, 2011 in Dodge City, KS. He was an Automotive Technician for Frontier Ford in Dodge City.
Zach was born on December 6, 1975 in Wellington, KS to Stuart A. Stover and Becca J. (Glenn) Stover Dixon. Zach attended school in Wellington and graduated with the WHS Class of 1994.
Zach was a loving son, grandson, nephew, cousin, brother and father. His heart was so full of love for his family. From their birth, Zach's life revolved around his two sons, Caleb and Cole. His laugh was contagious and could brighten anyone's day.
Zach loved being outside. He spent many hours fishing and hunting, always respecting the cycle of nature and making use of what he caught.
Zach's love of all things automotive was revealed in his chosen career. He began his work as a mechanic working alongside his dad Mike as they built his first truck, a 1960 Ford. In his adult life his passion was further developed by his work as a mechanic at Lanterman Motors in Pratt, KS, Koehn Motors in Wellington, KS and Frontier Ford in Dodge City, KS.
He was preceded in death by Bill and Rosemary Glenn, Howard and Judy Dixon, Lloyd A. Stover, Elvin Watts, Douglas Gaddie, and Kirsten Glenn.
Survivors include his two sons, Caleb and Cole Stover and their mother, Jessica Greenlee of Pratt, KS; mother and father, Becca and Mike Dixon of Wellington; father, Stuart Stover of Pratt, KS; brother, Tyler Stover; sisters, Heather Heiman, Amber Lowe, Natalie Dixon, Jessica Dixon-Newman, and Sarah Stover; grandparents, Clifford and Billie Bickel; and grandmother, Joyce Watts; and many loved aunts, uncles, cousins, nieces and nephews.
Memorial Services will be held at the First Christian Church on Monday, April 4, 2011 at 1:00 P.M. Pastor Don Bryant will officiate.
There will be no visitation as cremation has taken place.
A Memorial has been established with the Caleb and Cole Stover Education Fund in lieu of flowers. Memorials can be mailed or left at the funeral home.
Frank Funeral Home has been entrusted with the arrangements.
